Roundday Logistics Co., Ltd. and Ourmart Marketing Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of the Roundday Group, signed an industry–academia collaboration MOU with National Chiayi University this morning (8th).

President Lin Han-Chien (林翰謙), Vice Presidents Chen Jui-Hsiang (陳瑞祥),  Chang Chun-Hsien (張俊賢), and Li Hung-Wen (李鴻文), along with other academic and administrative leaders, attended the ceremony. Representing Roundday Group were Chairman Chen Hsu-Chu (陳旭初), Special Assistant Lin Liang-Mao (林良懋), and Vice President Tsai Ching-Te (蔡清德) of Ourmart Marketing.

Through this collaboration, Roundday Group aims to leverage National Chiayi University’s R&D capabilities in pre-cooling and ripening to optimize shelf life and build a complete cold chain for fruits and vegetables—from farm to table—ensuring freshly harvested produce from central and southern Taiwan reaches consumers at peak quality. Roundday will also provide opportunities for academic exchange, site visits, internships, and employment, creating a win–win outcome for local industries in Chiayi.

President Lin Han-Chien noted that the university’s College of Agriculture has extensive experience in orchid cultivation, particularly in maintaining freshness during export through precise control of temperature and humidity. He expressed hope that this partnership—spanning planning, design, and implementation—will enhance fresh produce preservation technologies, fulfill the university’s social responsibility, and establish a positive collaboration framework for resource sharing and mutual growth.

Chairman Chen Hsu-Chu added that in recent years, consumers have placed greater emphasis on convenient access to fresh food with transparent sourcing. Ensuring product freshness throughout the journey from origin to market remains a critical challenge. Through this partnership, Roundday aims to strengthen cold chain technologies for distribution and deliver meaningful results, with expectations for further successful collaboration ahead.
