Executive Yuan Office of Trade Negotiations Visits Roundday Dalin Distribution Center to Review Fresh Produce Cold Chain Development

Under the direction of the Executive Yuan, Deputy Chief Trade Negotiator Yang Jen-Ni (楊珍妮) of the Office of Trade Negotiations led a delegation on May 2 to visit the Damao Fruit and Vegetable Production Cooperative and the Roundday Dalin Fresh Food Smart Logistics Park to review pineapple export operations and the status of agricultural cold chain logistics. The delegation was received by Special Assistant Lin Liang-Mao (林良懋), Operations Manager Hsu Kuo-Feng (徐國豐), and site management.
Roundday Logistics has over 30 years of experience in cold chain operations. From its northern, central, and southern bases—FRESH & FREQ, FRESH&FULL, and FRESH&EMPIRE—it established Taiwan’s first integrated cold chain network, and has since expanded to logistics centers in Wugu, Guanyin, Huwei, Renwu, Yilan, and Taitung. In recent years, in response to growing demand for integrated food supply solutions and in alignment with government public–private partnership initiatives, Roundday has developed the BOO Dalin Fresh Food Smart Logistics Park and the BOT Pingtung International Freshness Logistics Park in key agricultural regions.
Aligned with the Executive Yuan’s southern Taiwan development initiative, the Dalin Park provides one-stop cold chain services including pre-cooling, storage, ripening, fresh-cut processing, and distribution. It also supports ESG goals by reducing delivery touchpoints to lower carbon emissions. The park aims to form an integrated agri-food cluster linking cold chain, processing, and distribution, standardizing product specifications and enhancing value across the fresh produce supply chain.
During the site tour, Deputy Negotiator Yang noted that agricultural cold chain systems overseas are relatively mature and expressed surprise at the current stage of development in Taiwan. At the conclusion of the visit, she and her delegation gave positive feedback on the Dalin facility, recognizing its comprehensive design and integrated functions for fresh produce cold chain services, and expressed optimism for its future development.
