Roundday Logistics Hualien Station Groundbreaking Ceremony

Roundday Logistics held the groundbreaking ceremony for its Hualien Station on the 7th at the intersection of Zhongmei Road and Minsheng Road in Hualien City. Hualien County Magistrate Hsu Chen-Wei attended the ceremony at the invitation of Chairman Chen Hsu-Chu and expressed hope that, once completed and operational, the Hualien Station would generate greater economic value for the region’s agricultural sector.

Roundday Logistics has been deeply rooted in Taiwan’s cold chain logistics market for over 30 years. As changing lifestyles drive growing demand for temperature-controlled distribution, the company has actively expanded its nationwide cold chain network. With comprehensive cold storage facilities and temperature-controlled logistics centers across northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan, Roundday has built a fully integrated cold chain ecosystem. This enables the company to provide end-to-end cold chain logistics solutions for its clients.

Roundday Logistics currently operates 10 cold chain logistics facilities across Taiwan, including the FRESH & FREQ Distribution Center, Wugu Distribution Center, Guanyin Distribution Center, Taichung Distribution Center, Huwei Distribution Center, Renwu Distribution Center, Fresh & Empire Distribution Center, Xinzhi Station, Yilan Station, and Taitung Station. In addition, the company is expanding its network with new developments underway, including the Dalin Distribution Center and the PABP Distribution Center, further strengthening its nationwide cold chain infrastructure.

Hualien County Magistrate Hsu Chen-Wei noted that, with this latest development, Roundday Logistics has completed the final piece of its network—forming the most comprehensive cold chain system in Taiwan, covering fresh, chilled, and frozen logistics. She emphasized that the system is now the largest of its kind nationwide and will significantly support the distribution of Taiwan’s agricultural specialties both domestically and internationally, as well as contribute to the broader economy. Highlighting Hualien as a hub for organic agriculture, Hsu added that cold chain logistics will enable local farmers to maximize the value of their premium produce and bring high-quality organic products onto the global stage.

Hsu noted that in 2020, with the introduction of Chen Chang-Cen, then Director of the Eastern Region Branch of the Agriculture and Food Agency under the Council of Agriculture, the Hualien County Government actively assisted Roundday Logistics in securing land for the project. She added that, with strong support from the central government in advancing cold chain infrastructure, the initiative represents a successful model of collaboration among the public sector, local government, and industry. Looking ahead, Hsu highlighted that once the Hualien Station is completed and operational, it will provide significant support to local farmers’ associations across townships and further benefit farmers overall. She also expressed hope that Hualien’s finest agricultural products can move seamlessly from farm to table, allowing consumers to enjoy the freshest produce.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Council of Agriculture Deputy Minister Chen Junne-Jih; Agriculture and Food Agency Deputy Director-General Yao Chih-Wang; Hsu Hui-Fei, Director of the Eastern Region Branch of the Agriculture and Food Agency; Lee Shun-Yi (李順益), Deputy General Manager of the Port of Hualien Branch, Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd.; Chang Hui-Wen (張惠雯), Manager of Chang Hwa Bank’s En-Yuan Branch; Chang Te-Chi (張德奇), Secretary-General of Ji’an Township Farmers’ Association; Chen Hsu-Yao (陳旭耀), General Manager of Chen Hsu-Yao Architects Office; Lu Chi-Lin (呂吉淋), Chairman of Dai-Wei Construction Co., Ltd.; Chuang Ming-Liang (莊明亮), General Manager of OVERSEAS ENGINEERING CO., LTD.; Hsiao Yu-Min (蕭裕民), Chairman of RI YUE XIN FREEZING CO., LTD.; Chuang Ming-Jen (莊明仁), Chairman of A-KING REFRIGERATION MACHINERY CO., LTD.; Liu Min-Hsien (劉敏賢), Chairman of Tiramisu Fine Cakes; Chen Shu-Wen (陳淑雯), Director-General of the Agricultural Department, Hualien County Government; and Wu Kun-Ju (吳昆儒), Director of the Administration and Research Department, Hualien County Government, among others.
